They Told Him To Pee His Pants...
My grandfather is 90.
A little while ago, he fell at home, had to be rushed to the hospital, and has been in “rehab” ever since.
We traveled from Charlotte, NC, to Buffalo, NY, to visit him.
I walked into the “rehab” center, and it stunk.
Smelled like a cat’s litter box.
He explained that at night they didn’t want them, the patients, getting out of bed… tripping hazard, understaffed, etc. and instead, they told him to pee in the bed…
...it was easier for the staff.
I guess it was easier for them to change diapers, sheets, and clothes once a day in the am then it was to be on call all night…
He said, “it’s a bit hard to get used to.. Just pissing in bed”
Thankfully we got him out of there Monday…
When someone tries to start their own business, sometimes they take the easy way out and spend hours, weeks months, “Learning” because it’s easier than doing.
They take the easy way out and think some course, YouTube videos, or guru will solve all problems and answer all questions.
… they just pee in their beds.
Any business takes work.
The real work doesn’t start until the car is in motion, and “data” starts flowing.
At that point, you can start to “optimize”... And do more of what works and less of what doesn’t.
Until there is data, there is nothing.
Don’t take the easy way out, get started, get data, get out of bed, and get going.
